Junrui Zhang publishes paper on FRP strengthening model in Case Studies in Construction Materials

Junrui co-authored a paper proposing a semi-empirical bond-slip model for externally bonded FRP strengthened reinforced concrete structures. Validated against extensive experimental data, the model provides engineers with a practical tool for predicting debonding behavior in large-scale applications.

Junrui Zhang Successfully Submits PhD Thesis

Congratulations to Junrui Zhang on the successful submission of his PhD thesis, titled "Large-Scale Externally Bonded Fibre-Reinforced Polymer Systems for Tension Strengthening of Existing Reinforced Concrete Structures with and without Fibre Anchors"! Under the supervision of Dr. Enrique del Rey Castillo, Prof. Tom Allen, and Dr. Lucas Hogan, Junrui's research provides critical insights for advancing structural strengthening techniques. We wish him the very best for his upcoming defense and a smooth transition to the next chapter of his career.

Lab Member was Fully Awarded 2025 International Joint Research Laboratory of Earthquake Engineering (ILEE) Summer Program by QuakeCoRE - DT2 and Tongji University

Selected and fully funded by QuakeCoRE DT2 to participate in the prestigious ILEE Summer Program on โ€œResilience and AI-Empowered Earthquake Engineeringโ€. The award covered full registration, accommodation, and daily meals. Program hosted by the International Laboratory for Earthquake Engineering (ILEE) at Tongji University, in partnership with QuakeCoRE.
